Omg! School Girls Attempt Suicide After Being Caught for Exam Malpractice

Two school girls who could not stand the shame of being caught for exam malpractice have cowardly attempted to take their lives.

Two Form One girls from a school in Nyamira County attempted to kill themselves after they stole exam papers.

The students from Mixed DOK Secondary School ingested an insecticide but were rushed to hospital thwarting their attempts to take their lives, The Kenya reports.

According to the School Principal Paul Angwenyi, the two attempted suicide after they were sent home to bring their parents for allegedly stealing examination materials from the office.

"When we investigated and found out that the girls were behind the examination leak, we decided to send them home for their parents before administering guidance and counselling but they decided to go their way and instead tried to kill themselves," Mr Angweny was quoted by the Standard.

The two are recuperating at Nyamira County Hospital where the Medical Superintendent Silas Ayunga assured that they were stable and out of danger.

"One of them was unconscious by the time we were receiving them but by now (Thursday afternoon), they are okay and can be able to talk," Dr Ayunga said.

One of the parents said that she was shocked to learn that her daughter was not in school.
